i have no heat coming into the cockpit. the orange hose from the muffler to the cabin and the valve that operates the cabin heat are fine. my plane is a 2011. any ideas to fix? my local mechanic says to remove the winterization plate that covers the oil cooler.
thanks

HI Mike - the heat comes from a shroud around the exhaust box and we've noted that the effectiveness can vary according to a number of factors and humidity etc. I've seen them working in the Czech Republic when flying at sub zero temperatures in winter and keeping the cockpit toasty, but also being useless on some planes here.
There are third party mods which work with a heater transfer matrix which work very effectively indeed, but you'd have to check what your local regulations allow you to fit.
Regards
Ben
thanks for the information and will ck out the shroud on the muffler box.
