Czech Sport Aircraft

Welcome Czech Sport Aircraft Owners, Flyers and Builders!

The tape from the factory has come off.  It does not like the Texas heat.  What are you doing for replacement tape?  A roll of tape is over $300.  Is there a more reasonably priced alternative?

Duane - you can use 3M prop tape, which I believe is supplied by Aircraft Spruce amougst others. I'd check with your local maintanance shop what they recomend.

The tape is important to protect the prop and is much cheaper than new blades! it is considered a consumable and normally lasts a year or so - but depends on your hours.

Ben

- oh - and very important to remember to keep the covers on the prop whenever you are not flying - especially in your texas heat the covers protect the props from UV which can otherwise shorten the prop life over time!
