Welcome Czech Sport Aircraft Owners, Flyers and Builders!

Dear

Does anyone know anything about the new 2013 sportcruiser?

I heard a lot of things eg: china factory, rotax 912is, less zero empty weight, extended range.......etc.

Please share

Kind regards

The new Rotax 912is is definately coming - this is being worked on now, and will reduce fuel consumption by 25-30% based on Rotax figures so worth waiting for I think.

There are also some new successors to the SportCruiser coming out (and one from the far east watch for news later in the year - should make a big splash) - it is amazing that already the SportCruiser has read directly to the Rokospool - see http://www.rokospolaviation.com/ and the Bristell - http://www.brmaero.com/ are a couple - worth checking out to see where the design going and will be more on the way I'm sure. Both of these also good at lowering the weight also - the SportCruiser is now at over 400Kg on the new planes which is not leaving much for fuel and two real people (says I just under 100Kg myself). Have a look at all these!

Ben

As I understand from your reply that the Czech Sport Aircraft company is working on the new engine 912is only. There is no more upgrade else.

Plz confirm

Hi - the information I have on CSA's plane is that both SkyView avionics (available now for non EU certified planes) and the Rotax 912is are being worked on for the new planes. I know a number of companies are working on starting production in China - in this day any that are not may well be left behind. Look for news in late summer / autumn (fall for all in the USA) as to a big announcement :-)

My understanding is that if you choose the Rotax 912is, then you have to forfeit the BRS option, due to a weight issue.

If you have noticed, the USA Dealer has joined. Called US Sportaircraft. They can supply detail on the 2013 model changes, of which there are a few.
